  1. Lee Foote says:

Hi – I have a beautifully aged bison skull retrieved from the bottom of a lake, probably dates to the late 1700’s. I want to make a simple wall backing to mount this, a plaque really but a fairly large one. Probably circular and I don’t need to go all chevron. I can router the edges. This thing is big so I feel like a need a circumference of approximately 35 cm. I know that is a pretty wide board and I can glue up two narrower if necessary. I also want to use a hardwood from the range of bison so birch, red oak, poplar or white spruce, though I prefer the darker grains.

    Whatcha got?
