Doing a house addition or simply repairing an old floor? We can make your new floor match your existing floor for an almost seamless transition between old and new. We specialize in Douglas fir flooring, however we can easily match maple and oak floors, as well as other species. Send us a picture or a sample including dimensions.
If you are looking for more than just a floor and wish to match or accent your floor with custom accessories, choose our custom-made solid wood stair treads and mouldings.
Depending on wood species and tread dimensions, we will make a single-piece tread or a 2- or 3-piece glue-up using EcoPoxy™ and bisected joints. Stair treads are planed to thickness and thickness sanded to 120 or 220 grit depending on customer requirements.
Typical species for stair treads are Red and White Oak, Douglas-fir, Eastern Maple, Black Walnut.
Custom Countertops
Everything for the well-designed home. Well made. Well priced. Our butcher and plank-style countertops offer great opportunities to accentuate your new or remodelled kitchen. Looking for a working countertop, or a showcase feature? These make wonderful bar tops and washroom counters.
Timeless Style. Traditional countertops are made from Hard Eastern Maple but American Black Cherry, Wenge and other species offer great options depending on your style.

Mouldings & Trims
Using our Weining moulder and shaper, we are pleased to offer you custom profiles. Whether matching existing trim patterns, looking for a unique profile or simply want a trim in a specific species of wood, we can help.
Don’t settle for the ordinary finger-joint paint grade trims or the limited selection of available wood species. Our moulder has over 2,500 standard profiles available. If none of those fit the job, we can have knives custom ground to suit your precise needs. All we require is a drawing or a sample, leaving a simple final choice of wood species. Anything is possible; from wenge to maple; from fir to jatoba. The possibilities are endless.

At West Wind it’s obvious we love wood and it’s not a secret or surprise that we tend to surround ourselves with it in our daily lives. Building furniture has come as a natural progression of our business for us. We have skilled and certified jointers to build you the piece of furniture you’ve been dreaming of.
Have us do you up a drawing from a simple sketch or photo or supply us a drawing yourself. We’ll help with decisions from start to finish, from the wood type to fasteners used.
