If you are looking for more than just a floor and wish to match or accent your floor with custom accessories, choose our custom made solid wood stair treads and mouldings.
Depending on wood species and tread dimensions, we will provide you with a single piece tread or a 2- or 3-piece glue up using West System™ epoxy and bisected joints. Stair treads are planed to thickness and thickness sanded to 120 or 220 grit depending on customer requirements.
Typical species for stair treads are: Red and White Oak, Douglas-fir, Eastern Maple, Black Walnut.

Steps to a beautiful West Windhardwood Stair Tread |
1- select straight & flat stock to be laminated.
2- cut and rip to rough length
3- material is jointed & dressed
4- pieces are selected to match colour and grain.
5- pieces are checked for a tight fit

6- biscuits are cut
7- both mating surfaces are coated with epoxy and clamped over night
8- treads are planed and sanded to thickness
9- treads are cut to width and trimmed to length
10- sawn edges are sanded |
