Buzon Screwjack Pedestals Components

1. Base of the PedestalBase of pedestal DPH5

The supporting base of the pedestal has a surface of 315 cm² (diameter 200 mm). Minimum thickness of 3 mm of polypropylene to ensure stability. The stand has a 125 mm diameter cylinder as well as 8, 5 mm reinforcement veins for stability and load distribution. The supporting base has 2 water weep holes to allow any liquid to run freely, andseveral predrilled holes for attaching the base to a concrete, wood or steel supporting surface. These 8 holes are aligned with the 8 reinforcement veins to ensure stability.

2. Slope Corrector - PH5Slope Corrector

With the PH5 it is possible to build a perfectly level terrace or deck on top of the pedestals.

The slope corrector device is made of polypropylene and is cliped on the head of the pedestals (DPH0 - DPH3); the DPH4- and DPH5-pedestals have integrated slope correctors .

By rotating the top part of the slope corrector, it is possible to adjust the angle between 0 and 5%. This adjustment can be done in steps of 0.5. The value of the step is shown in the window on the top.

Should a bigger slab bearing surface be required in order to incrrease the stability of the pedestals, the pedestals can be turned upside down (base becomes top).

3. Coupler - C2Buzon Coupler

The coupler is used for reaching heights over 170 mm by adding this to the DPH5 pedestal. The coupler has two 2 cylinders with screws; it is also equipped with a safety clip system to avoid unscrewing.

Pre-setting for the required height before installation is also possible through a system of letters and two symbols “+” or “-” printed on the pedestals and the couplers. A worker can adjust all pedestals to the required height by using these letters and symbols.

4. Spacer Tabs - A2 to A10

The spacer tabs are used to create a uniform gap between the slabs placed ontop of the pedestals. They are available in different widths, depending on the space required by the architect and are replacable. The following sizes are the standard available widths: 2, 4.5, 6.0 or 10 mm.

The spacer tabs are cylindrical plates, which can be clipped onto the surface of the supporting pedestal.  They are free to rotate at 360°. Even with the slope corrector installed. For decking material without any apparant joint, special spacer tabs with 2 mm separators are available.

5. Shims - E10 + E20Shims 1 and 2 mm

Shims are used to reduce the sound and to adjust small differences in tile thickness. They are available in 1 and 2 mm thickness and are made of EPDM. The shim is a disc with gaps which is placed directly on top of the pedestals spacer tabs The wings can be removed in case it is necessity to make an adjustment between tiles of different thicknesses.
